We, at The Transit Program, are a not-for-profit organization with a focus on bridging the gap between limited resources and endless possibilities. Our mission is to restore hope and create long-term change through community support, collaboration, and empowering individuals to effect change. We seek to provide humanitarian aid and education to those affected by poverty and humanitarian crises around the world.
Our main programs through which we provide assistance are humanitarian aid, dental assistance, affordable housing, and financial literacy. Through our humanitarian aid program, we support refugees and displacement and provide educational support. Our dental assistance program provides access to affordable dental services, including cleanings and fillings. We’ve also set up an affordable housing program to develop existing properties and offer services to tenants. Furthermore, our financial literacy program gives people the skills they need to make informed financial decisions.
Beyond our main programs, we also offer community and event support, volunteer and professional partnerships, and fundraising support. We emphasize the importance of collaboration between organizations and individuals, aiming to create a more equitable and inclusive society. Our work is inspired by the biblical story of Luke 17:11–19, which urges us to express gratitude for what we are able to give to others and the transformative power of altruism.
